HANDS-ON WORKSHOPS WITH VIOLA TEXTILE STUDIO

Viola Textile Studio has moved into the digital age! With hands-on workshops scarce in the past year, we created an online forum for creative textile learning. Beginning in January, we began hosting monthly classes packed with video tutorials, zoom gatherings, and supply kits delivered to your door. 2021 is a year of creativity, and it is not too late for you to join the fun!

Quilt Block of the Month

Have you always wanted to make a quilt but felt too daunted to know where to begin? Or perhaps you are an experienced quilter looking for a new project? Viola Textile Studio's Quilt Block of the Month might be for you! Each month, you will receive a new quilt block pattern and a box of hand-dyed indigo fabrics, as well as step-by-step video tutorials, zoom calls, and all the support you need to assemble four 12-inch blocks. Community and quilting go hand-in-hand & we are thrilled to host our own online community of quilters.

Natural Dye of the Month

2021 is a colorful year! Join us as we delve into a different natural dye each month. Beginning with some of our favorites, Indigo, Weld, and Cochineal, we are working our way through the color wheel, dyeing various types of fabrics each month. On top of that, we will teach you different Shibori techniques for making beautiful patterning on fabric. Each month you will receive a box with everything you need - the natural dyes, fabric, Shibori tools, instructions, and record keeping sheets for you to reference on future projects. We use only safe dyes and mordants, so everything we send you will be home, family, and pet friendly.
